TAMK

Congratulations – you have been selected for the next intake! You are warmly welcome to join the TAMK community and start building your future. This page has information, guidelines, and schedules, which help you in getting started. Please read these instructions carefully.

This page was updated on 1 April 2023. This page info will be updated next time by the end of May 2023. Please come back then to check the latest info.

Orientation Days 15 - 18 August 2023, TAMK Main Campus, Tampere

The studies start

  • on Tuesday 15 August 2023 at 12.00
  • in TAMK Main Campus, address: Kuntokatu 3, 33520 Tampere
  • in Auditorium D1-02.

The Orientation Days take place 15 - 18 August 2023. In the first week, you will be offered comprehensive information about your studies as well as different kind of services and support provided to you by TAMK.

The ENTRE Student Tutors will be waiting for you in the lobby of the TAMK old Main Entrance (address Teiskontie 33).

Orientation days are mandatory for all students, and the best way to get started. You will see and hear about our facilities and services, meet with everyone in your study group and get to know each other, and talk to the key people in building your future: the head of your programme, your tutor teacher, other lecturers, your study counsellor, TAMK social counsellor, student union members and many more.

In case you have a valid reason why you cannot physically join your study group at TAMK for the orientation days, please contact the TAMK Welcome Team or your Study Counsellor well in advance (see contact information at the end of this page) and explain why you cannot attend and ask for further instructions.

Orientation Days Programme

Please check the following Orientation Programme for important information on Orientation days and how you should prepare for them.

Checking of Original Certificates

Checking your original school certificates, work certificates, and other official documents will be extended until you are able to be physically present on campus. Student selection is always conditional until the originals have been compared with the ones sent in the application stage.

Curriculum

Take a closer look at your curriculum to better understand your study and learning goals. The individual descriptions of courses include for example course content, the timing of the course within the academic year, evaluation criteria.

The curriculum information is especially important if you wish to transfer credits for some previously completed higher education studies. You can start discussions about credit transfer with the Head of Programme or with your Study Counsellor during the Orientation Days. If you have questions about accreditation and credit transfer, please send an email ahead of time to avoid the rush during the orientation.
