
Higher Education Group
Higher Education Group (HEG) conducts research and offers teaching in the field of higher education studies (with disciplinary emphasis on administrative science) at the Faculty of Management and Business. Research in HEG is concentrated on the topics related to higher education policy, management and finance. HEG offers its expertise in research and development to higher education institutions and other stakeholders in Finland and abroad. HEG is international. Our regional specialisation (outside EU) is in China and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Studies
HEG provides teaching for three different student categories: for non-degree students, for Master's degree students and for Doctoral students. HEG's current programmes for these student groups are the following:
- Master's Degree Programme in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) 120 ECTS
- Study Programme in Administration and Management of Higher Education (KOHA) 40/50 ECTS
HEG provides continuing education for administrators, managers, professionals and specialists working the field of higher education. Study Programme in Administration and Management of Higher Education (KOHA) forms the core of HEG's non-degree continuing education services.
HEG´s doctoral education concentrates on themes of higher education policy, higher education management and governance as well as higher education finance. At the moment we have ca 20 doctoral students (full-time or part-time).
