Tampere Imaging Facility (TIF) - valomikroskopiakeskus
Tampere Imaging Facility valomikroskopiakeskus (TIF) tarjoaa huippuluokan laitteet mesoskooppiseen ja korkearesoluutioiseen biokuvantamiseen. Yksikön laitteet soveltuvat muun muussa kudosten, pienten malliorganismien, biomateriaalien, kudosteknologiatuotteiden, ja kehittyneiden soluviljelmien kuvantamiseen tarjoten palveluita sekä luonnontieteilijöille että biolääketieteen insinööreille.
Tampereen yliopiston valomikroskopiakeskus sijaitsee Kaupin kampuksella Arvo-rakennuksessa. Se tarjoaa viimeisintä teknologiaa hyödyntäviä kuvantamisratkaisuja luonnon- ja materiaalitieteilijöiden tarpeisiin. Yksiköllä on useita mikroskooppijärjestelmiä elävien ja kiinnitteillä käsiteltyjen näytteiden biokuvantamiseen, kuten erilaisia konfokaalimikroskooppeja, superresoluutiomikroskooppi, ja laajakenttämikroskooppeja. Fluoresenssimikroskooppien lisäksi saatavilla on myös tietojenkäsittely- ja analyysiasemia, joissa on dekonvoluutio-, visualisointi- ja kvantifiointimahdollisuudet kuville.
Valomikroskopiakeskus tarjoaa käyttäjille koulutusta, järjestää kuvantamiseen liittyviä kursseja, ja osallistuu aktiivisesti opetukseen Tampereen yliopistossa.

Tampere Imaging Facility (TIF) valomikroskopiakeskuksen palvelut ovat tutkimusyhteisön käytettävissä voimassa olevan käyttöpolitiikan mukaisesti. Kaikkien palveluiden käyttäjien tulee lukea ohjeet ja noudattaa niitä.

Yleisiä sääntöjä laitteiden käyttämiseen
- Syöminen ja juominen ovat kiellettyjä TIF:n laboratoriotiloissa.
- Määrätyillä alueilla tulee käyttää laboratoriotakkia ja muita tarpeellisia suojavarusteita, kuten laboratoriokäsineitä ja suojalaseja.
- Ulkoiluvaatteiden käyttäminen on kiellettyä TIF:n laitteiden läheisyydessä. Kenkäsuojat ovat pakollisia, jos käytössä ei ole puhtaita sisäkenkiä.
- Käyttäjien tulee jättää laitteet ja niiden ympäristö siistiksi ja puhtaaksi.
- Käyttäjillä ei ole lupa muokata laitteistoja. Lisäksi objektiivien ja muiden komponenttien vaihtaminen on kiellettyä ilman TIF:n henkilökunnan lupaa.
- Käyttäjien tulee ilmoittaa TIF:n henkilökunnalle laitteistojen toimintahäiriöistä, vahingoista ja laiterikoista, tai muista ongelmista.
- Käytä laservaloja turvallisesti, älä anna lasersäteen osua silmään, tai katso lasersädettä ilman asianmukaisia suojalaseja.
Oikeudet laitteistojen käyttämiseen – käyttäjäkoulutus ja varauskalenterit
- Ennen laitteiston ensimmäistä käyttökertaa, ota yhteyttä TIF:n henkilökuntaan: cofamicroscopy [at] lists.tuni.fi (cofamicroscopy[at]lists[dot]tuni[dot]fi).
- Ajankohta käyttäjäkoulutukselle sovitaan yhdessä henkilökunnan kanssa. On hyödyllistä, että käyttäjällä on oma tutkimusnäyte mukana, mutta tämä ei ole välttämätöntä.
- Koulutuksen jälkeen käyttäjälle myönnetään oikeudet varata laitteistoa Agendo-varausjärjestelmän kautta: https://tuni.agendoscience.com/.
- Käyttäjä voi varata laitteistoa ainoastaan omaan käyttöön (ei esimerkiksi toiselle tutkimusryhmän jäsenelle, joka ei ole vielä saanut käyttäjäkoulutusta).

- Tutkimusryhmiä laskutetaan laitteistojen käyttämisestä puolivuosittain.
Tutkimusdatan tallennus ja käsittely
- TIF ei ole vastuussa tutkimusdatan hallinnasta tai säilyttämisestä.
- Käyttäjä on vastuussa omien tiedostojensa siirtämisestä laitteistoilta. TIF:n henkilökunta voi poistaa laitteistojen tietokoneiden levyasemilta yli 2 kuukautta vanhoja tiedostoja ilman erillistä ilmoittamista.
