Conditionally accepted applicants

All offers are conditional. Documents of the offer holders must reach the Tampere University Admissions Office by 30 April 2024 at 15.00 UTC+3, according to the submission instructions of Tampere University.

As an offer holder you are required to submit the officially certified copies of your educational documents (attachments 1-3) to Tampere University Admissions Office by one of the approved methods listed below after the student selection results have been announced.  All offers are conditional and accepted students need to deliver educational documents as officially certified (attested) and legalised copies, as these were not required during the application period. Instructions on submitting documents can also be found in the Letter of Acceptance. Documents must reach the Tampere University Admissions Office by 30 April 2024 at 15.00 UTC+3, according to the submission instructions of Tampere University.

An exemption to having to submit the officially certified (attested) and legalised copies applies to those accepted, whose degrees have been completed in a Finnish University or University of Applied Sciences whose degrees and transcripts Tampere University can verify using a national database, with few exemptions as stated in the country-specific requirement for Finland. (Update: Information concerning the exemption specified on 27 November 2023)

Applicants in the final year of their bachelor’s degree due to graduate in the spring of 2024 and who have received an offer of acceptance must graduate by 31 July 2024 and deliver officially certified copies of educational documents no later than 19 August 2024.  

Educational documents to be submitted:

1. An officially certified or legalised copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate in the original language

2. An officially certified or legalised copy of the official transcript of records of the Bachelor's degree in the original language

3. Official translation of the Bachelor's degree certificate AND of the transcript of records unless issued in English, Finnish or Swedish

Please note: If you have applied for an exemption from submitting a language test based on previous studies other than those that provide your eligibility for admission to the master’s programme, you must additionally submit:   

4. Officially certified or legalised copies of these educational documents in addition to the documents listed above. 

If you do not deliver the documents requested by the deadline given, your acceptance will be cancelled. We strongly advise you to deliver the documents requested as soon as possible after the student selections are published.  

 

The preferred methods of receiving documents are those that are electronically verifiable or delivered by the awarding institution by email.

However, be advised that, if documents are not electronically verifiable or delivered by the awarding institution by email, documents of degrees awarded in certain countries must be submitted according to the country-specific requirements. The country-specific requirements may apply to one or all of the required documents. Educational documents from China must always be submitted according to the country-specific requirements.

We do not accept

  • regular photocopies of educational documents sent by post
  • officially certified copies issued by notaries public in other countries without legalisation.

Confirmation of arrival of documents is sent only after we have processed your documents and application, not immediately upon receiving the documents.

An applicant is always responsible for the arrival of documents at Admission Office, even when documents are delivered directly from the educational institution or other instance. We recommend using a courier service instead of regular post especially if sending documents from outside the EU. To ensure that the delivery clears customs easily, please only enclose the paper documents in the delivery envelope. If possible, please indicate the value of the delivery as 0,01.
