Tampere University among the best 500 in international QS ranking
The annual QS World University Ranking analysed data on 1,499 universities and higher education institutions across the world. Tampere University’s actual place in the international comparison was 436. Among the nine Finnish universities included, Tampere University placed sixth.
This time the universities were ranked based on Sustainability, Employment Outcomes, and International Research Network (IRN). The indicators used in the QS ranking also included Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, and Faculty Student Ratio.
Among the indicators used, Tampere University scored the best in International Research Network. As regards this indicator, Tampere University was placed 275th. The next best score came with the 387th place measured by the Sustainability indicator.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was ranked the first in the world followed by University of Cambridge and University of Oxford. Also, ETH Zurich managed well from Europe, ranked 7th in the world.
