Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and reference database. It has an AI add-on, Scopus AI, which is based on retrieval-augmented generation. Scopus AI is based on natural language and offers new ways to approach research discovery and analysis.

Based on the question or hypothesis you write, Scopus AI searches for publications published since 2003 and uses their abstracts to create an answer, or a short summary on the topic. The summary includes references to source articles found in the Scopus database. If you want more in-depth information, you can continue your research using the extended summary, concept map, basic publications in the research area, and subject experts sections.

Elsevier is offering a webinar on the latest updates to Scopus AI, a generative AI-powered add-on developed for the multidisciplinary abstract and citation database Scopus.

The training will cover the newest features, including the Deep Research functionality, which enables more in-depth and targeted information retrieval.
