Tips for publishing an article-based dissertation - training on Feb 10

Are you confused about where to publish your dissertation articles? Do you puzzle over copyright transfer agreements and Open Access jargon? If so, participate in our training Article-based dissertation – publishing and practices!

We will discuss issues related to the publication of an article-based dissertation, such as copyright and licensing. The practices of Tampere University, and the basic concepts of Open Access will be discussed as well.

When and where? Online training on February 10 at 9.30-11.00. Registration form and Teams link are available on the Intranet (log in with TUNI account). The training will not be recorded.

For whom? Doctoral researchers who are planning or working on an article-based dissertation

  • The process and practices of publishing a dissertation at Tampere University; however, please note that writing, editing or layout will not be discussed in this training
  • Copyright and Creative Commons licenses
  • Open Access vs. subscription-based publication channels
  • Discounts on APCs
  • Searching for suitable publication channels using the JUFO Portal, the DOAJ etc.
