Tampere University’s master’s programmes remain a popular choice

The application period for Tampere University’s international master’s degree programmes ended on 3 January 2025.  The University offered 39 master’s programmes taught in English for the 2025 intake. Students admitted to these programmes will graduate as Master’s of Arts or Social Sciences, and Master’s of Science, Engineering or Architecture.

Tampere University received a total of 8 019 applications from 5 200 individual applicants. The most popular study options were Data Science, Computing Sciences and Electrical Engineering (608 applications), Public and Global Health (574 applications), and Sustainable Business Management, Leadership for Change (553 applications). Applicants were able to apply to two (2) programmes on an application. In the past, it was possible to apply to three (3) programmes.  

The applicants represent more than 100 nationalities. The number of Finnish applicants was 227. The percentage of non-EU and non-EEA applicants was 93 (4821 applicants).  

Application period for English-taught Bachelor’s programmes is from 8 to 22 January.
