Tampere University admits more than 700 new students to English-language master’s programmes

A total of 751 applicants were offered a place in the English-language master’s programmes at Tampere University in the latest admission cycle that closed in January. Applicants could choose between 35 English-language MSc study options. The newly admitted students will start their studies in August 2022.

Applicants could apply for admission to a maximum of three different degree programmes. The University received more than 3,700 applications from 2,118 applicants. 

The largest number of new students were admitted to the Master’s Degree Programme in Computing Sciences to study Statistical Data Analytics (48 admitted students), Data Science (47), Software, Web & Cloud (42), Human-Technology Interaction (37) and Signal Processing and Machine Learning (36). In addition, 34 students were admitted to the Master’s Degree Programme in Industrial Engineering and Management to study Business and Technology and 32 to the Master’s Degree Programme in Teaching, Learning and Media Education.  

The admitted students represent 68 different nationalities. Students from countries outside of the EU/EEA make up 78% (588) of the new students. Of all those seeking admission to the English-language degree programmes, 37% were admitted.
