Tampere University celebrates more than 4,400 graduates

As of 9 December 2025, Tampere University has awarded 1,964 bachelor’s degrees (1,929 in 2024), 2,266 master’s degrees in architecture, technology or the arts and licentiate degrees in medicine (2,118 in 2024) as well as 206 doctoral degrees (203 in 2024).
These figures are still provisional as additional degrees will continue to be recorded in December. The final graduate numbers will be available in January 2026.
“What is particularly delightful is that more than 7% of all our new BSc and MSc graduates are international students. This reflects the diversity and international character of our university community,“ says Vice President for Education Marja Sutela.
Despite Finland’s current economic challenges and competitive job market, Sutela encourages graduates to look to the future with confidence: “A university degree remains a valuable investment in your future, influencing both salary and career progression. A master’s degree, in particular, opens the door to a broad range of opportunities.”
Sutela hopes that as many graduates as possible choose to stay in Finland, as our society needs expertise and fresh perspectives to thrive.
“You are a diverse and talented group of future game-changers. Take pride in this achievement, which marks the beginning of exciting new opportunities!”
