Research Council of Finland awards funding for ten Academy Research Fellows and Academy Projects in biosciences and health

The Research Council of Finland’s Scientific Council for Biosciences, Health and the Environment has awarded funding for six Academy Research Fellows and four Academy Projects at Tampere University. The total amount awarded is €6.5 million.

The Scientific Council for Biosciences, Health and the Environment has selected 42 new Academy Research Fellows and granted funding to 75 Academy Projects, comprising a total of 100 subprojects.

The Council is allocating approximately €29 million to Academy Research Fellows and around €50 million to Academy Projects. Both grant types are awarded for four-year periods.

This year, 16% of applicants for Academy Research Fellow positions and 17% of applicants for Academy Project funding were successful.
