More than 2,100 students graduate from Tampere University in the spring semester of 2026

More than 2,100 students are graduating from Tampere University in the spring semester of 2026. Graduation ceremonies will take place on the Hervanta campus on 12 June and on the city centre campus on 13 June.

More than 2,100 students are graduating from Tampere University in the spring semester of 2026. Graduation ceremonies will take place on the Hervanta campus on 12 June and on the city centre campus on 13 June.

By 9 June, Tampere University has conferred 900 bachelor’s degrees, 1,098 master’s degrees and licentiate degrees in medicine, and 115 doctoral degrees in the spring semester of 2026. These figures are provisional as additional degrees are still being recorded.

Graduation ceremonies on the Hervanta and city centre campuses

The graduation ceremony on the Hervanta campus will take place in the Main Auditorium of the Festia building (address: Korkeakoulunkatu 8) on Friday 12 June, starting at 18:00. The graduation ceremony on the city centre campus will be held in the Main Auditorium of the Main Building (Päätalo; address: Kalevantie 4) on Saturday 13 June, starting at 12:00.  

On the Hervanta campus, Vice President Tapio Visakorpi will address the audience on behalf of Tampere University. The keynote speech will be delivered by Johanna Kirjavainen, Deputy Mayor of the City of Tampere, and Master of Science (Technology) Aaro Haikonen will speak on behalf of the graduates.

On the city centre campus, Vice President Marja Sutela will speak on behalf of Tampere University. The keynote speech will be given by entrepreneur, screenwriter and actor Timo Kahilainen, and Master of Administrative Sciences Heidi Rintamäki will speak on behalf of the graduates.

Live music will be performed by the student choir Teekkarikuoro on the Hervanta campus and by the duo Lotta Marie & Henna Leppänen on the city centre campus.
