TAMK initiates change negotiations concerning its internal RDI support services and business operations

TAMK is expanding its research, development and innovation activities (RDI), which makes it necessary to further develop the related support services. The objective of the change negotiations is to strengthen internal RDI support services and to create an operating model that best supports the expansion of RDI activity and ensures the availability of services. The negotiations will also examine the possibility of providing these services jointly within the Tampere higher education community.
TAMK’s domestic and international business activities have not been financially profitable in recent years, which requires a review of the content, cost-efficiency and organization of operations.
The change negotiations concern the planned development and reorganization of the tasks and operations of TAMK’s Research, Development and Innovation Services unit (Business Operations and Project Management Office). The grounds for the planned measures are financial, production-related, operational and related to the employer’s organizational changes. At the start of the negotiations, the estimated need for redundancies is a maximum of ten employees.
