Subjects featured in the latest THE ranking – education studies rise again
Following the overall university comparison, THE published subject-specific comparisons in January 2025.
THE lists Tampere University in nine teaching and research disciplines. The best performer in its comparison was education, which improved its position for the second consecutive time, ranking in the 151–175 category.
Social sciences and computer science were ranked in the 201–250 category in their fields.
The latest THE world university ranking ranks Tampere University among the 350 best universities in the world. In October 2024, the University’s strength was industry collaboration, which means external research funding received from businesses and patents that have been innovated in research activities.
The ranking indicators measure research, teaching, research environment, industry collaboration, and internationality.
