Application period for Bachelor's route studies in the academic year 2023-2024 begins on 31 July 2023 at 10.00 (UTC+2) and ends 13 August 2023 at 23.59 (UTC+2).

Students on the Open University route may be admitted as degree students, if they do not already have the right to study in a degree programme in engineering sciences in Tampere University.&nbsp; 
A previously completed master’s degree does not make applicants ineligible for admission, but applicants will only be admitted to study for a second master’s degree for particularly weighty reasons.&nbsp;When granting the right to a degree, the Degree Regulations of Tampere University and the university's common admission criteria are followed.

To apply as an actual degree student based on your Open University Route studies, you must submit an electronic application in the spring 2024 on Studyinfo.fi: <a href="https://opintopolku.fi/konfo/en/">www.studyinfo.fi</a>.&nbsp;

A student may be admitted as a degree student after completing the studies in the required schedule (within an academic year) and according to the requirements of the degree programme. In the academic year 2023–2024, the study attainments of students on the BSc route must be visible in the student register on 14 June 2024 in order to be taken into account.&nbsp;

Course requirements (20 credits) in&nbsp;the academic year 2023-2024:

	<li>MATH.MA.140 <a href="https://www.tuni.fi/en/study-with-us/vectors-and-matrices-lectures">Vectors and Matrices</a>, 5 cr</li>
	<li>FYS.111 <a href="https://www.tuni.fi/en/study-with-us/physics-1-lectures">Physics 1</a>, 5 cr</li>
	<li>COMP.CS.100 <a href="https://www.tuni.fi/en/study-with-us/programming-1-introduction-programming-fitech">Programming 1: Introduction to programming</a>, 5 cr</li>
</ul>

The weighted average of the courses must be:

<ul>
	<li>Science and Engineering, Computing and Electrical Engineering, GPA 3,5 /5</li>
	<li>Science and Engineering, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, GPA 3,5 /5 and course Introductory Calculus completed with the grade 4 or 5</li>

Application period for Bachelor's route studies in the academic year 2023-2024 begins on 31 July 2023 and ends 13 August 2023.&nbsp;

The studies form a package of the degree-level studies, consisting of mathematics, physics and information and communications technology. The route studies are first-year courses from the Bachelor´s Degree Programme in Science and Engineering, BSc (Tech). The aim is to facilitate the student’s access to a full degree programme at a later time.

Only applications received during the application period will be reviewed.

There are no preliminary knowledge requirements for the route.

Courses must be completed during a single academic year.&nbsp; You have to be able to study full-time from Monday to Friday.

Once you have completed the route studies, you can apply for the Bachelor´s Degree Programme in Science and Engineering, BSc (Tech).&nbsp;Please note that the credits should be visible in the student register on 14 June 2024 in order to be taken into account. Once admitted as a degree student, the credits you have completed in your route studies will be transferred as a part of your degree.

Studies on the Open University route are conducted mainly during the daytime as a contact teaching. Some courses are available as remote learning.
