Automation and robotics experts are in demand both in Finland and internationally, and employment prospects are excellent. In this program, you will gain the skills to design, build, program and utilize automation and robotics in a variety of industries. We work closely with companies, and you can get to know a wide range of jobs already during your studies.

Learn through hands-on projects and research
During your first year, you will build a strong foundation in mathematics, natural sciences and engineering. In your second year, you will focus on automation and robotics and select a minor subject that matches your interests. At the same time, elective studies at Tampere University enable you to tailor your degree to your personal interests.
Your studies combine theory with practical learning. You will work on projects, laboratory exercises and real engineering problems while developing both technical and teamwork skills.
We also offer second-year students the opportunity to join a research group through a research training placement. This allows you to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge research while earning ECTS credits.

After completing your Bachelor of Science in Technology degree, you can continue directly to a master's degree at Tampere University without reapplying. You can choose from several Master of Science (Technology) programmes and further specialise in areas that match your interests and career goals.
