A rapidly growing industry needs experts here and around the world
Automation and robotics experts are in demand both in Finland and internationally, and employment prospects are excellent. In this program, you will gain the skills to design, build, program and utilize automation and robotics in a variety of industries. We work closely with companies, and you can get to know a wide range of jobs already during your studies. Master's theses are also mainly done in companies, industry organizations or research institutes.
Flexibility and options for further studies
Your first study year mostly consists of common core courses in Natural Sciences and Mathematics. You will start focusing on Automation and Robotics as well as choose a minor module in the second study year. University studies at Tampere will offer you flexibility to tailor your degree according to your own interests. We also offer our second-year students the possibility to do research training in one of our research groups, which is an opportunity to get hands-on experience. This training is unpaid, but students will earn ECTS credits.
Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Technology degree are eligible to continue their studies directly towards a master's degree at Tampere University without having to re-apply. There are multiple options to choose from among the English-taught Masters of Science (Tech) programmes offered by Tampere University.
Best student life in Finland

You will be part of our own international student guild, TaSciEn, which offers a warm community and organizes events ranging from company visits to alumni events as well as parties and sports activities. It is a support network that helps you to integrate into the programme and life in Tampere.
