On this webpage you will find instructions and important information on how to apply to the Tampere University bachelor's programmes conducted in English. The application period for bachelor studies starting in autumn 2027 will begin 7 January 2027 at 8.00 UTC+2 and end 21 January 2027 at 15.00 UTC+2.

Check each programme’s admission criteria in Studyinfo.fi for the eligibility criteria, admission procedure and what documents are needed.

Read the instructions
Read through the instructions on how to apply and start preparing your application documents as early as possible!

SAT test, ACT test or language test
For SAT or ACT tests, find a test centre and register for the test well in advance (if applying in admission group I) or take a language test if required (when applying in admission group II). Please see the language requirements.
Note that only SAT or ACT tests taken after 1 January 2025 will be considered and the last possible time to take the SAT or ACT test for this application period is the December 2026 test date.

Fill in online application and pay application fee
Fill in the online application at Studyinfo.fi during the application period. The application period begins on 7 January 2027 at 8.00 UTC +2 and ends on 21 January 2027 at 15.00 UTC +2.
After you have submitted your application, you will receive an automatic message from Studyinfo.fi confirming that your online application form has been received. The automatic message includes your application number (e.g. 1.2.246.562.11.00000000000000000000). Make sure to use an email that you have access to until the possible start of studies in autumn. If you do not receive a confirmation email, we advise that you check your junk mail folder. Otherwise, please contact Tampere University Admissions Services.
Pay the 100 euro application fee by the deadline given in the email automatically sent from Studyinfo. Follow the instructions written in the email in order to pay the application fee. For information on application fee, see Studyinfo.fi.

Upload attachments
Remember to upload all required attachments on the application form, by 28 January 2027 at 15.00 UTC +2 or by a separate deadline as instructed in the section "Application documents".

Wait for the results
Wait for the admission results to be announced.

Accept the offer
If you are offered a study place, remember to accept it, and send certified copies of your educational documents according to the submission instructions of Tampere University. Please note given deadlines. Pay the tuition fee if required.

Waiting list
If you are placed on the waiting list, a study place may be offered by 3 August 2027, after which acceptance from the waitlist ends.

Prepare for arrival
Start preparing for your arrival in Finland, if arriving from abroad.

Register as a student
Register as a student and join the Tampere University community when the studies start in August 2027.
