This module focuses on you and what you can learn from the latest research and practice about how to maintain good brain health throughout your life, how to manage stress, lead yourself and manage your mind in practice.
You will create solutions and habits that will work for your unique personality and motivation profile. You will also learn from others in collaborative group sessions to understand how different people are, to create conditions where everybody can stay healthy and succeed.
Topics of this module:
- How does our brain work and what all leaders must know about improving brain health in practice?
- Who are you and what drives you? Each participant will get their own Reiss Motivation Profile ® that will be discussed in a personal feedback discussion with a certified RMP coach. The results are also reflected in a group session where you will learn how different things motivate different people. Read more about RMP.
- What is your personal Unique Selling Proposition (USP) and your leadership identity?
- What is sympathetic nervous system and the impact of vagus nerve in leadership and emotional intelligence?
- How to create mental management skills that help you reduce stress and anxiety, help you focus and perform at your best sustainably in times of uncertainty?

Facilitators:
Pauliina Airaksinen-Aminoff, Dr, M.Ed, Emotional intelligence coach (Genos), is a Lecturer of Leadership at TAMK School of Business and Media. Pauliina has nearly 30 years of experience in leadership and management in several international and national organisations. She has also a long history in media and branding, developing both digital marketing and print publications in various media companies.
Pauliina is passionate about leader’s identity development, especially how to enhance leader’s communication skills, and emotional intelligence, by using Identity Booster© tool. She has written a nonfiction book (Äiti meidän, Tammi 2018), participated the collection publication of Älykkäällä myynnillä kansainväliseen kasvuun (link to content in Finnish) and is a permanent blog writer. As a teacher and coach, Pauliina is uplifting and encouraging, using lot of concrete communication and interaction exercises. In her free time she is skiing telemark and playing tennis.
Päivi Mayor, PhD in strategic management, is a Principal Lecturer of Leadership at TAMK School of Business and Media. She has over 20 years experience as a leadership developer from many international organisations from financial, pharmaceutical and consulting industries. Päivi is passionate about motivation, motivational leadership and self-leadership. She is one of the world’s most experienced people in using the scientifically reliable motivation tool, the Reiss Motivation Profile® that helps leaders develop better self-awareness and avoid “accidentally bad leadership”. Päivi has written a leadership book called Opas yksilölliseen motivointiin (eng. Guide for Individually Motivating Others, Talentum 2015). A new book about motivational leadership will be published in Autumn 2022.
Päivi is a member of a research project Sustainable Brain Health with the goal to develop new self-leadership with the latest brain and motivation research. As a teacher and trainer, Päivi is engaging and inspiring, using a wide variety of collaborative and interactive teaching methods that the participants have liked a lot. She is a mother of two and in her free time she enjoys long walks with her dog and audiobooks.
