In the Radical Aerosol Physical Chemistry group, we study the fast radical reactions critical for generating, but also removing, air pollutants, and their relation to formation of atmospheric particulate matter. We utilize state-of-the-art experimental and theoretical methods, mainly novel chemical ionization mass spectrometric techniques and quantum chemical computations coupled to master equation modeling.
