South Korean Educators Visit TAMK to Explore AI and Digitalization
TAMK had the pleasure to host a delegation from the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education, South Korea, at Mediapolis campus on Tuesday, January 20th.
The group, made up of 34 school teachers and educational leaders, visited TAMK to explore how we integrate digitalization and AI into our daily work—both within our media programs and across the university as a whole.
An Afternoon of Insights and Exchange
The visit kicked off with a session led by Timo Kivikangas, Manager of the Degree Programme in Media and Art. He introduced our curriculum and shared practical examples of how our students use AI and modern technology in their creative projects. Timo also took the time to address specific questions the delegation had sent in advance regarding the digitalization of teaching and learning.

Seeing Education in Action
Following the presentation, the group split into two tracks to get a deeper look at our operations:
Classroom Tours: Both groups took turns visited our learning spaces to observe live teaching and see firsthand how technology is used in the classroom, led by TAMK's senior lecturers of Degree Program in Media and Art.
Global Partnerships: While one group was visiting our classrooms, the other group met with Dr. Hannu Koponen, Business Operations Manager, to discuss TAMK’s ongoing collaborations with partners in South Korea and our broader international initiatives.

It was an inspiring afternoon of shared knowledge, and we look forward to continuing our dialogue with our colleagues from South Korea.
