Registration is now open for the Doctoral Conferment of Tampere University in August 2022
The conferment ceremony highlights the value of and respect for research and education and it is a unique way to celebrate academic achievements. Join in the festivities!
Registration for the conferment ceremony takes place by filling out the registration form, preferably by 15 March 2022. You can bring one accompanying person (avec) to the ceremony.
You can register and cancel your registration free of charge until 11 April 2022. Registered conferees will receive payment instructions by email after 11 April.
Tampere University’s Ceremonial Conferment of Doctoral Degrees will be organised in August 2022 if the authorities’ guidelines on the pandemic and the University’s own policies allow it. The aim is to make the decision on organising the event by the end of March, but due to the pandemic, changes may still be made after that date. Participants in the conferment events undertake to comply with the pandemic guidelines in force at the time of the event.
Programme and costs
Preliminary schedule for Friday and Saturday (12-13 August 2022):
- Rehearsal of the conferment ceremony on Friday 12 August at 16
- Pre-conferment banquet after the rehearsal on Friday 12 August
- Conferment ceremony on Saturday 13 August at 12.
- Conferment banquet and dinner on Saturday 13 August at 19
Cost 250€/person
The final event, a garden party will take place on Sunday 14 August.
Cost 50€/person.
The same fees apply to conferees’ accompanying person (avec).
