Doctor, register for Tampere University's Conferment of Doctoral Degrees in 2027!
The doctoral conferment is intended for all doctoral graduates from the new Tampere University and from the university’s predecessors, Tampere University of Technology and the University of Tampere, who have not yet participated in a conferment ceremony. To attend, you must have completed your doctoral degree by 29 January 2027.
The event will accommodate up to 130 doctoral conferees, with places allocated in the order of registration. If the participant quota is already full when you want to register, you may register for the waiting list.
You may register for the Doctoral Conferment even if your doctoral degree is still incomplete provided you think that you will complete all the required study attainments by 29 January 2027. When registering for the event, a doctoral degree is regarded as completed if the Faculty Council has approved your dissertation, all required studies in the degree have been completed and you have requested the doctoral degree certificate via the Sisu system.
The period of registration begins on 1 October 2026 and will continue until 31 January 2027
The promovendi register for the event using an electronic form. You can find more information about registration and the link to the registration form on the Doctoral Conferment website.
You can give the details of your companion (plus-one) using the same form at the time of registration or by 31 January 2027 at the latest.
The participation fee is €390 per person. The fee is the same for the promovendi and their companion (plus-one) and it covers the costs of all the events. You may cancel your participation without any extra costs until 31 January 2027.
