Tampere University of Applied Sciences had a continued increase of applications to its degrees in English when compared to last year. Studies will commence in autumn 2024.

Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) received a total of 12 748 applications to its eleven degree programmes in English during the application periods which ended on 17 January 2024. Last year the number of applications was 9,450.

TAMK received 10,896 applications to Bachelor’s degrees in the joint application round and 1,852 applications to Master’s degrees in TAMK’s direct application round. Last year, the corresponding numbers were 8,488 and 962.

Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership rose to the top as the most popular Bachelor’s degree (3,557 applications). International Business Management (1,193 applications) remained by far the most popular Master’s degree.

"It's great to see that our degrees are still attractive and have gained some popularity," says Katja Komulainen, Vice President for Education.

All degrees admit both Finnish and international students. Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Engineering, International Business, Nursing, Software Engineering and Textile and Material Engineering use the online International UAS Exam as their entrance examination. The exam has introduced a language test requirement as a new feature in Spring 2024. Bachelor’s in Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership, Bachelor’s in Media and Arts as well as all Master’s degrees use a pre-task and online interviews for admission.

Joint application to TAMK’s degrees in Finnish is open 13—27 March 2023. Open path application and transfer application will open later in the spring.
