TAMK annual review 2024

The year 2024 was a time of active development at TAMK in terms of education, internationality and sustainability. The past year will be remembered for milestones such as the funding received for the European Uninovis Alliance, the Top Athlete-Friendly Higher Education Institution quality label and the selection of a new president.

President's overview 2024

The year 2024 at TAMK was both a period of change and a period of stabilising operations. Typical to today, few isolated incidents gained major media visibility at the expense of our successful day-to-day work, even though excellent everyday performance often has a much wider and more far-reaching impact. As the year drew to a close, the overall outlook at TAMK grew increasingly stable, positive and hopeful.

Research and development

The Applied Research Center builds up TAMK’s RDIC profile during its first year of operation. TAMK joined the Uninovis Alliance, a European consortium for higher education institutions. Our project activities were successful and impactful on many fronts.

Continuous learning

Continuous learning took major steps forward. With the introduction of new education offerings and improved cooperation with other institutions of learning, continuous learning took an increasingly prominent role.

Internationality

The strategic steering group for internationality began to take TAMK’s internationality efforts to a clearer, more target-oriented direction. TAMK joined the Uninovis Alliance with six other European higher education institutions.

Sustainability and social responsibility

The theme of sustainability and social responsibility was incorporated in several functions. The EduSTA project took our teachers’ sustainability competence to a new level. Sustainability and social responsibility formed an important area of improvement also with external partners.
