I work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Tampere Institute for Advanced Study (Tampere IAS) and the Gerontology Research Center (GEREC) at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

My research explores ageing as a social and cultural phenomenon. Currently, my work focuses on the lived experience and social construction of longevity. Drawing on life-story interviews with individuals aged 90 and above from the Vitality 90+ Study, I investigate how experiences and constructions of old age and longevity have evolved over time across three different decades.

In my dissertation, completed in 2023, I examined the meaning of various everyday spaces and places for social relationships and interactions in old age. This research was based on qualitative interviews from the Ageing and Social Well-being (SoWell) and Vitality 90+ Study projects at Tampere University
