The project focuses on optimizing materials and structures of photoelectrochemical cells to enhance energy conversion efficiency, light absorption, and durability in demanding environments. We aim to address critical challenges in energy materials science, such as improving charge carrier dynamics, minimizing energy losses, and enhancing device stability under operational conditions. In addition to experimental development, we are performing modeling of photoelectrochemical cells to better understand charge transport, interfacial kinetics, and light-matter interactions. This modeling supports the optimization of device architecture and operational parameters for efficient hydrogen production.
