Uninovis Alliance

Uninovis is an alliance comprising eight European universities, including Tampere University of Applied Sciences. It focuses on promoting education, research and innovation in applied data science. The alliance aims to be a driving force for impactful change, bringing AI, robotics and data-centric learning into European higher education.

What is Uninovis?

In total, the Uninovis Alliance has around 150 000 students and 13 300 employees. The Alliance started its activities in 2025.

Uninovis enables TAMK students, staff and stakeholders to share knowledge and develop innovations across different sectors and national borders. Uninovis will significantly increase European cooperation in education and research. Mobility, both physical and virtual, will be more strongly supported.

After the first four-year funding period, Uninovis will seek further funding and continue to develop and expand. The current activities are therefore only the beginning of a new kind of European higher education, where learning and research are increasingly linked to technological and societal needs.

In Uninovis, TAMK is the responsible coordinator of the work package on green and digital transition. The aim is to prepare staff and students from partner universities to meet the various demands of sustainable development and to act as pioneers and change agents in the green and digital transition.

Uninovis is a very promising alliance of European higher education institutions. Cooperation with other universities in the network gives us a good opportunity to strengthen our RDI activities and develop our own expertise in the areas of data, green transition and fair digitalisation.
