As part of the UN Orange the World campaign, landmarks around the world will be illuminated in orange. Orange will also be the colour of the façade of the Päätalo building on the city centre campus, as the light art called Universitas created by artist Charles Sandison will be illuminated.

The UN Orange the World campaign is a global initiative to raise awareness and take action to end violence against women and girls. The colour orange of the campaign stands for hope for a brighter future where life without violence is the right for everyone.

The Orange the World campaign starts on 25 November which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The campaign will conclude on the International Human Rights Day on 10 December.

The façade of the Päätalo building on the city centre campus will be illuminated in orange at 16.00–23.00 from 25 November to 10 December (address: Kalevantie 4).
