During the last week of April, TAMK will host educational leaders and decision-makers from all over the world for the first-ever Educational Leadership Forum in Tampere.

During the week, the aim is to promote the development of an agency for change in education by increasing dialogue and cooperation between stakeholders in a total of 16 different participating countries.

"It is very important for TAMK to have many already good partners from countries such as Chile, Kenya and Barbados, and to combine these with other new and potential partners in Tampere. Together we can build a new and more multinational approach. With these prestigious guests, Tampere will also have other business in addition to education exports and project activities," says Virpi Heinonen from TAMK, Key Account Manager, who coordinates the event.

"Our role as an attractive university with a very good reputation in many of these countries, where we have done various educational export projects, is the key to these people coming to Finland. We hope that with the Forum we will get new projects, new know-how and international funding for our university," Heinonen continues.

The event is a unique opportunity to discover the opportunities of the future together and get acquainted with the latest trends, practices and innovations that both Finnish and international education has to offer. The program offers interesting presentations on a variety of educational topics, panel discussions, and visits to schools and organizations.

The forum is organized in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finnish National Agency for Education and the City of Tampere, and is attended by educational institutions at various levels in the Pirkanmaa region. Speaking at the event will include Chief of Staff Anita Lehikoinen from the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as numerous other Finnish education experts from TAMK and other organizations.
