Inaugural lectures of five new professors at Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences are given on Friday 7 October 2022.

You are warmly welcome to hear the inaugural lectures of new professors at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at 13.00 o’clock on Friday 7 October 2022. The lectures are given in the large auditorium (FA044) of the Festia building on the Hervanta campus.

Five professors will give an inaugural lecture.

14.10 Professor Laeticia Petit - Welcome to the New Age of Glass

14.30 Professor Topi Rönkkö - Black Carbon particles in the air we breathe

14.50 Presentation of the professor at the Materials Science and Environmental Engineering unit by Professor Jukka Rintala, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences

14.55 Professor Mikko Hokka - Mechanics of materials at extreme conditions

15.15 Closing of the event, Dean Martti Kauranen

 

After the event, coffee & cake and sparkling wine are served outside the Festia auditorium.
