Course completion at Open University
Lectures 2x2 h/week, computer exercises 2 h/week, independent flipped learning studies 4 h / week, independent exercise solving 4 h/week, design exercise with final presentation 2 h/week.
The optical design and analysis software Ansys Zemax OpticStudio will be used in the exercises. Course materials, quizzes, and exercises will be available online in Moodle. The course can be completed entirely online, although participation in the exercises is strongly recommended.
Required prior knowledge
Basics of optics, e.g. FYS.240 Optics. Please ensure that you have completed the required prerequisites before registering! By registering, you agree to comply with the requirements and, upon request, you can present a transcript of records showing the completion of the required prerequisites.
