Tampere University Student's Handbook

Preliminary study plan for exchange students

Tampere University and TAMK

A preliminary study plan is a requirement in the exchange studies application to Tampere University. Incoming exchange applicants make it only for guidance purposes at this stage. The new curriculum for the next academic year is usually published in the spring, so the preliminary study plan may have to be created based on the previous year's curriculum.

Please keep in mind that having your preliminary study plan approved by Tampere University at the stage of application does not guarantee acceptance to any of the courses. You will need to register for courses closer to the start of the semester in the information system Sisu after you have completed your registration with the University and activated your TUNI account. The responsible teacher for the course is the one who makes the final decision among the registered exchange students.

Read carefully our instructions below and the Q & A section as well:

If you plan to attend the summer school in August*, please add summer school courses and codes to your preliminary study plan / Learning Agreement as well. The preliminary study plan is not the official Erasmus+ Learning Agreement and therefore we dot not require any signatures from your home universities.

*will not be organised in summer 2023, but may be offered again in summer 2024
