Find a thesis writer from TAMK

Thesis projects at a university of applied sciences can take many forms: practical workplace investigations, planning tasks, production work or development projects. On this page, you’ll find information about the different types of theses at TAMK, how to propose a thesis topic, and how the thesis process works.

What is a thesis?

A thesis is a public, limited‑scope final project that is part of a student’s degree and deepens their professional competence.

At universities of applied sciences, thesis topics usually originate from work‑life needs. A completed thesis can take different forms, such as:

  • Research‑based
  • Practical / functional
  • Portfolio‑based
  • Artistic
  • Diary‑based

Bachelor’s thesis (UAS)

A work‑life–oriented project lasting 2–4 months up to one year (15 ECTS), depending on the degree.

Master’s thesis (UAS)

A work‑life project connected to a master‑level degree, lasting approximately 12–18 months (30 ECTS).

Thesis process

  1. 1

    Define the topic

What question, need or challenge in your organisation would you like the thesis to explore, support or help solve? Write a short description of this.

Remember: the topic must be suitable for the student’s field of study.

  2. 2

    Contact the responsible person

You’ll find a list of responsible persons for each degree programme at the bottom of the page. They help you find a suitable student.

  3. 3

Agree on the scope and implementation method

Discuss the project’s scope, methods and practicalities with the student and the student’s supervising teacher.

The implementation method affects project costs, required agreements and ownership of the thesis results.

  4. 4

    Appoint a workplace supervisor

Name someone from your organisation who will support and guide the student during the thesis project. Make sure this person has enough time and capability to supervise.

  5. 5

    Thesis project implementation

The student conducts the thesis while receiving content guidance both from TAMK and from the supervisor you have appointed.

  6. 6

    Thesis publication

A thesis is public and can be used by your organisation as well as by anyone else interested in the topic. Agree on the ownership and use of results and of any practical outputs before the project begins.
