Smartrail Ecosystem

In this part of the Smartrail Ecosystem (link), the tasks are to develop and apply methods for the use of composites in load-carrying structures, enabling e.g. lighter structures. Another topic is the assessment of the effects of fault-tolerant design of casting components and welding joints, as well as variations in manufacturing accuracy and quality, in the fatigue calculation of fatigue-critical components.
