POIJU -project aims:
- To enhance the pedagogical and administrative skills of higher education staff in the development of small competence modules.
- To develop flexible and work-life-oriented education models that support continuous learning for the working-age population.
- To promote collaboration between higher education institutions by creating systematic models for joint activities.
- To strengthen digital pedagogical competence to enable diverse and accessible learning opportunities.
- To create a digital toolkit and a training model to support staff in adopting and applying new teaching methods and practices.
- To improve the ability of higher education institutions to meet diverse learning needs by recognizing varying learning styles and abilities.
- To support the fulfilment of competence needs in the social, health, and safety sectors by renewing and expanding education offerings.

Goal
The POIJU – Micro-Credentials: Get Involved and Renew! project strengthens the expertise of staff at Tampere Universities, the University of Jyväskylä, and JAMK University of Applied Sciences in the design, implementation, and management of micro-credentials. The project develops customer-oriented educational solutions that flexibly and effectively respond to the needs of working life in the social and health care sector as well as in the security field. TAMK plays a key role in the project by enhancing higher education staff’s capacity to create and deliver micro-credentials, especially in the fields of rehabilitation and health and welfare technology. The aim is to offer flexible learning paths that take into account students’ diverse backgrounds and strengthen their ability to meet the rapidly evolving demands of working life. TAMK contributes to the project with its strong expertise in developing practical and work-oriented education.
