Molecular Epidemiology - MOLE

Tampere University
Area of focusHealth

The group of Molecular Epidemiology is focused on the link between molecular phenotypes, such as genetics, epigenetics and gene expression, and the development and onset of common chronic diseases. Our aim is to understand how parent’s lifestyle and phenotype or the individuals own early development  associate with later life health traits and what are the molecular mechanisms mediating these associations.
