In the research project safety culture will be assessed and developed in the food industry, taking into account the specific characteristics of that industry. The project will provide information on the causes and prevention actions of accidents at work in the food industry. Surveys and interviews will be carried out in five case companies. Moreover, data will be collected from the national occupational injury statistics database. Based on the data a safety culture maturity model suitable for the industry will be constructed and preventive actions linked to different maturity levels will be suggested to support workplace safety work.
