About me
I work as a Development Manager and supervisor of the Assistant Services Team. I am responsible for leading the team’s operations and for the development of assistant services. In addition, I work at the Faculty of Management and Business (MAB), where my duties include planning and developing the faculty’s administrative and leadership structures as well as internal collaboration in line with the university’s strategies and policies. I also support the Dean in the management of the faculty’s administration.
I hold a Master’s degree in Administrative Sciences from Tampere University. My professional background is in the municipal sector, where I have been responsible for development tasks promoting the fluency of decision-making and the openness of administration, as well as the implementation of the Information Management Act. My professional interests focus on developing organisational decision-making, administrative procedures and governance processes.
Responsibilities
My responsibilities include wide-ranging development, planning and supervisory duties for both the faculty and the Assistant Services Team. Key areas of responsibility include:
1. Strategic and operational support for leadership
- supporting the Dean in strategic leadership, operational planning and development in line with the university’s strategies and policies
- overall responsibility for the faculty’s performance management and annual planning
- planning, implementing and developing support for data-informed decision-making, analytics and reporting
2. Preparation and presentation of decision-making
- preparing and presenting decisions for the Dean
- serving as presenter and meeting preparer for the Faculty Council and leadership groups
- coordinating the preparation processes for statements, guidelines and other administrative documents
- ensuring the legal compliance and procedural correctness of decision-making and other activities
3. Development of administration, leadership and organisational structures
- planning, developing and aligning the faculty’s administrative and leadership processes
- developing the faculty’s collaboration and operational structures
- strategic space planning
- ensuring good governance, functional fluency and clarity of organisational procedures
4. Quality management, safety and risk management
- acting as the faculty’s quality liaison and coordinating quality management work
- responsibility for safety, risk management, preparedness and continuity planning
5. Communication and stakeholder interaction
- contributing to the planning and development of the faculty’s internal and external communication
- promoting structural clarity, predictability and transparent operational practices
6. Supervisory and service development responsibilities
- acting as the supervisor of the Assistant Services Team
- leading the team’s operations, organising work and developing service processes
