PhD researcher in Finnish language and Accessibility (2023 - ). MA of Finnish language, Accessibility and Communications (2022) and BA of Sign Language Interpreting, Speech-to-Text Interpreting and Interpreting for the Deafblind (2016). I have specialised in accessible communication methods, ie. simple language and subtitling, and conducted my Masters Thesis on intralingual subtitling. In my PhD research I study intralingual subtitling and its processes in Finnish public sector, when it is not outsourced, but produced by paraprofessional subtitlers using language technologies such as ASR.
