Workshop on smart home technologies and sustainable living

We are looking for participants to a workshop on smart home technologies for sustainable living. The workshop is organized by researchers from Tampere University's human-centered technology and sustainable architecture research groups.

The purpose of the workshop is to gain people’s thoughts and experiences on the joys and challenges of using smart technologies at home, and what kind of solutions would support sustainable living.

We do not expect any specific experience of smart homes from the participants, but just interest in sustainable living and how technological solutions could support your own residential life. We welcome also couples or friends to join the workshops.

For this 1,5-hour workshop, we are looking for participants who can join the session physically at Tampere University, Hervanta campus. Coffee, tea and light snacks will be provided. The language of the workshops is English. The discussions will be recorded, and the materials will be handled for research purposes anonymously and confidentially.

There are two workshop sessions, and they will be held on May 8th and May 9th at a time that is convenient for the group. Each participant joins only one of the workshops. Participants will be informed about the final date and time of the workshop one week in advance. The collected information will be used to support research aimed at promoting the well-being and sustainable living of residents.

If you are interested, please register here by April 28.

This research is part of the Industrialised and Personalised Renovation for Sustainable Societies – INPERSO project, Horizon Europe framework.
