Tampere University’s fields of science included in THE ranking – three fields on the rise
Times Higher Education (THE) has published discipline-specific university rankings.
After the overall comparison of universities, it was time for the subject rankings, all of which were published at the same time this year.
Tampere University featured in nine teaching and research fields. The best performer in its discipline was education, which had risen to the category of 200 best and maintained its position among the 176–200 best this year.
Social sciences, humanities and computer science all placed in the category of 201–250 best. Computer science, management and economics, and engineering improved their ranking.
In THE magazine’s global ranking of universities, Tampere University was ranked among the category of 350 best. In the ranking published at the beginning of October, the University’s strength was industry cooperation.
