After the conferment ceremony, the promoters, honorary and regular doctors, university leadership and professors walk in an academic procession to a church service at Tampere Cathedral. This causes exceptional traffic arrangements.

The route of the procession is Tampere-talo – Yliopistonkatu – Tammelan puistokatu – Kullervonkatu – Erkkilänkatu – Rautatienkatu – Tuomiokirkko.

The procession leaves Tampere Hall at 15.55.

There will be exceptional traffic arrangements and roadblocks along the route. The Itsenäisyydenkatu street will be completely closed off to other motor traffic than trams.
Traffic marshals will guide the traffic at the roadblocks.

The exceptional arrangements will also spread to the streets of Tulli, Tammela and Juhannuskylä more widely.
