Researcher, take advantage of discounted APCs and publish open access

Publishers offering discounts for APCs include among others American Chemical Society, BioMed Central, Elsevier, SAGE and Springer Nature. The researchers can publish their articles open access without any charge in journals published by American Chemical Society and Springer Nature. The authors are offered a procentual discount on the article processing charge by Elsevier, BioMed Central and SAGE.
Read more about the discounts and their conditions in our Open Access Guide.
Researchers and staff both at Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences are eligible for the discounts. The corresponding author must have affiliation to either Tampere University or TAMK. The publishers use mainly author’s affiliation and email address to verify eligibility for the discount.
The discounts on article processing charges are based on agreements between the publishers and FinELib, the consortium of Finnish universities, research institutions and public libraries. In addition, Tampere University Library has made direct agreement with some publishers about discounted APCs and open access publishing.
