The Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology (MET) has awarded the best doctoral dissertations and publications of 2022. Three teachers also received educational achievement awards.

MET 2022 education achievement awards

Students’ opinions have strongly influenced the selection process.

Professor Vesa Hytönen: Hytönen is genuinely interested in students and teaching.

Professor Juhani Jääskeläinen: Jääskeläinen has actively developed teaching, participated in the implementation of teaching and ensured that the students’ perspective is also considered. “He makes everything clear.”

University lecturer Jari Viik: Viik is responsible for the research project course and thesis seminar, which are joint courses for all students in the Master of Science programme. Being the responsible teacher requires wide-ranging expertise and Jari does it very competently with an excellent focus on the students and their needs. Jari’s contribution to our teaching is considerable.
