You will study textile materials and manufacturing processes from fibres to finished products. In addition, the studies cover topics such as textile recycling, circular economy, industrial economics, and quality, supply chain, and project management. Natural sciences, including mathematics, chemistry, and physics, form the basis of your engineering expertise. You can also broaden your competence through elective studies in areas such as business, entrepreneurship, or environmental engineering.
During your studies, you will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as insight into the textile industry and business. You will also have opportunities to build professional networks supporting your future career. Learning takes place through a combination of contact teaching, online learning, project work, independent study, laboratory exercises, and collaboration with industry. Practical training is an essential part of the degree, giving you the opportunity to apply your skills in real working life environments, gain relevant industry experience, and find opportunities for your thesis and future career.
You can complete part of your studies abroad through student exchange or carry out your practical training internationally. The programme is conducted entirely in English and prepares you for working in international environments.
This degree programme educates internationally oriented textile and material engineering professionals who can contribute to the development of a more sustainable textile industry. After graduation, you are prepared to work globally in expert roles in areas such as production, product development, quality assurance, supply chain operations and technical business functions.
