I am a doctor of sociology with 8 years of experience in qualitative research. My research areas are sociology of health and medicine, biomedical knowledge, health literacy, holistic health systems & movements, health inequalities, and cultural capital. I am particularly interested in the production of medical knowledge and its social implications. I’m also interested in advancing critical perspectives on healthcare and medicine, rethinking health & illness in social stratification, philosophy of science, and body & society in social theory.
I worked as a research fellow in Turkey for more than seven years. My work included teaching, administrative and secretarial tasks, planning, publishing articles, organizing departmental events, and reporting. I am open to academic collaborations and to developing research projects.
