Cancellation terms – Open UAS

Registration is binding. Course fees are only refunded in cases stated below. Before the beginning of your studies, you can only cancel your place according to the instructions in the registration confirmation email. After the beginning of the studies, cancellations can only be made by email to the address avoinamk [at] tuni.fi. The studies are considered to have begun on the day of first contact teaching class or in case of online studies on the start date given in the course description. Non-attendance is not considered a cancellation.

• If a student registered for an individual study unit is admitted as a degree student to Tampere University of Applied Sciences or if s/he is admitted to open UAS path studies or to a study module at Tampere University of Applied Sciences and cancels registration before the beginning of the studies, the cancellation is free of charge.
• If a student admitted to path studies is admitted as a degree student to another Finnish higher education institution and cancels registration before the beginning of the studies, the cancellation is free of charge.
• If a student becomes ill before the beginning of the studies and is unable to begin the studies due to the illness, the fee or part of it can be refunded based on a medical certificate.

In all cases concerning refunds, please contact avoinamk [at] tuni.fi. If you are seeking a refund based on your admission as a degree student, you need to provide us with an admission letter or an admission email to the address avoinamk [at] tuni.fi.

If Tampere University of Applied Sciences has to cancel a course, study module or path studies, no fees are collected, and any paid fees are refunded.
