After completing the course, the student:&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Can apply &nbsp;the energy performance of buildings directive (EPBD), the EU sustainable &nbsp;activities taxonomy and the Finnish building code for the control of &nbsp;building energy systems over the whole building life cycle.&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Can describe the major aspects of a building&#8217;s energy consumption.&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Can describe the major building service solutions and energy production technologies that advance carbon neutrality.&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Can calculate the energy efficiency and CO2 &nbsp;impact of different solutions and can take into account the limitations &nbsp;of various building service solutions according to the use case.&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Can estimate different kinds of alternatives compared to set targets and &nbsp;dimension building energy production systems according to consumption&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Can construction project life cycle energy design processes from target setting to maintanance.&#183; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Can take into account the integration of building services systems with &nbsp;area level energy production system and understand possibilities in &nbsp;demand reponse.
