TECHBOOST

TECHBOOST helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with significant growth potential to adopt, develop and systematically apply new technologies, especially in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

In TECHBOOST, a network of six higher education institutions work together to achieve long-term goals and results. The network includes Aalto University, Tampere University, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Oulun University of Applied Sciences, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, and Häme University of Applied Sciences. The total budget of the project is 1,8M€.

TECHBOOST implements a total of 30 business projects nationwide. Each higher education institution will implement five business projects. Their objectives range from creating a demo and prototype to optimising the production process.

The TECHBOOST project is for companies looking for technological solutions for their day-to-day operations, wanting to find the most suitable technologies and needing help in applying them and applying for funding. Our aim is to raise the level of knowledge of companies and other actors by bringing the latest research knowledge into pilot projects and technology strategies.

Background

Digitaalisuus luo uusia mahdollisia, samalla kuitenkin haasteet lisääntyvät ja kasaantuvat erityisesti pk-sektorille. Uusimpien tutkimusten mukaan erityisesti pk-
yritysten kehitysresurssien puute ja taloudelliset rajoitteet vaikeuttavat yritysten ottamaan käyttöön uusia nousevia teknologioita, kuten tekoälyä ja yhteistoiminnallista robotiikkaa yhdessä muiden digitaalisten teknologioiden kanssa.
