Security Governance Group (SEG)

Security Governance Group (SEG) is a research group operating within the Administrative Studies unit in the Faculty of Management and Business. The group conducts research and offers teaching in the field of administrative science, focusing on security governance.

The group's research covers a wide range of topics and security contexts. The aim of the research group is to promote understanding and expertise in security governance and various threats in different environments at international, national, and local levels.

Master’s Degree in Administrative Sciences, MSc (Security Governance), 120 ECTS

The Master's degree in Administrative Sciences with the Security Governance specialisation is designed for students with a background in social sciences who aspire to become experts in public management, societal security, and security policy. The programme equips students with the expertise to manage and govern security in diverse environments in international, national and local level. Furthermore, this specialisation will prepare students to address the challenges of a hybridised societies.

Doctoral Programme in Administrative Sciences, Business Studies and Politics

Doctoral education in the field of security governance focuses on themes related to security actors and policies. Currently, there are about 10 doctoral students pursuing studies in this field.
